Various departments in an organisation have traditionally worked in silos. Departments weren’t interacting much with each another and same with the systems. Every department had systems for its exclusive use which meant all data was stored in a fashion which suited the department. Organisations are struggling to draw insights in spite of having tons of data at disposal because of these fragmented systems.
